AUGUST

This month has been so busy I can hardly keep up with the wins! Percy kids have continued their winning. I am proud to say 6 of Berizza's youngsters are in the TOP 10 Rising Stars at Breed comp in Australia. A terrific achievement and credit to their owners as well.

We did a trip to the West for some cluster shows and met up with good competition and came home with nice wins to boot. Melody took 4 x MINOR IN GROUP and 1 x MINOR IN SHOW. Brother Disney took 2 x PUPPY IN GROUP and some nice CC's. Claudia won 4 x RUNNER-UP IN GROUP, 4 x INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP and 3 x CONSOLATION IN SHOW and Brock our NEW CHAMPION No 52 also won JUNIOR IN GROUP.

Julie and Jed strutted their stuff in Melbourne for some nice BOB wins and JUNIOR IN GROUP under a Hound Specialist. Charmaine and Lila also won INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP. Tammy and Andre had some lovely points and a MINOR IN SHOW.

Up in sunny QLD, Megan and Britney added another RUNNER-UP IN GROUP to her list, 3 x PUPPY IN GROUP and a PUPPY IN SHOW. She has also qualified for the zone finals of QLD Puppy Of Year with her friend Beau. Megan will have lots of fun at the event!

Whew...the month is nearly over and we are looking forward to warmer weather ahead.

JULY

After a little rest, the kids are out again. Melody and Disney hit the “big league” and proved they are capable of holding their own against adult competition, with both taking several Res CC and RUBOB awards! However, Disney went one step further winning a large DOG CC twice in one weekend and his first BEST OF BREED! Very exciting since he was not quite 7 months old and was against multi Group/Show winning adults.

Up in North QLD, the terrible two-some Britney and Beau have been in action yet again. On Saturday Britney gained her 2nd RUNNER-UP IN GROUP/MINOR IN GROUP and at the same show Beau took BABY IN GROUP. Then on Sunday Beau turned 6 mths old and was awarded BEST IN GROUP / MINOR IN SHOW. Definitely a record for a particoloured IG to win Group at exactly 6 months of age. Go the Percy kids!

A great finish for the month when both Melody and her half-brother Andre took back-to-back BEST OF BREEDS and MINOR IN GROUP. Britney took another MINOR IN GROUP the same weekend. Disney was also awarded Dog CC. Some nice points acquired for the youngsters this month. Nearly all of them now half way to their titles.

Congratulations also to NEW CHAMPION Berizza LA Dreamin and Bernie for gaining Ella’s speedy title at just 13 mths of age!

JUNE

The babies are on a roll ! Three of Percy's latest babies won over the first weekend of June. Melody (Percy-Morgan) took out BABY IN SHOW, while litter brothers Andre and Beau (Percy-Vanity) went BABY IN GROUP on the same day. Beau was also RES BABY IN GROUP the day before. I can't say how pleased I am with these babies. Five of them will be shown, once Britney (Percy-Morgan) also hits the show ring in the capable hands and care of Megan, who also co-owns Beau.

The June long weekend was just as successful. Disney took out his 4th BABY IN GROUP and not to be outdone by half-brother, Andre (owned/handled by Tammy) he did the same with back-to-back BABY IN GROUP's. Claudia was RUNNER-UP IN GROUP, 2 x INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP's and Brock was awarded JUNIOR IN GROUP. Not a bad effort in wet and wild weather conditions! A week later Beau brought his tally up to 4 BABY IN GROUP's by taking 2 more awards during the week.

Disney and Melody have now turned 6 months old and have joined the “big league”. On her first adult entry, Melody was awarded Res CC over multi group winning females. Her sister Britney, started her career flying by taking RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUP and MINOR IN SHOW at 6mths and 1 day old! She sure is making up for lost time. Capably handled by Megan, who also showed Beau to a BABY IN SHOW win the next day.

Litter sisters, Melody and Britney, finished the month off by taking MINOR IN GROUP on the same day.

What a “parti” all these pied babies are having!!

MAY

I have now passed my Hound Group exam and am available to judge all breeds and group specials. The Hound Group combines Sighthound and Scenthound breeds, as well as Dachshunds in Australia.

This month started off well with Percy making a special outing for BEST IN GROUP under a Hound Specialist and Claudia took out INTERMEDIATE IN GROUP at the same show.

A week later Jed goes MINOR IN GROUP and Romeo wins PUPPY IN GROUP with Steve handling.

Another Percy son hitting stardom his first weekend out is Beau, capably handled by Megan. Beau took RESERVE BABY IN SHOW at the Toy Specialty of Toy Dog Club of Nth QLD, under a USA judge. Go team!!

Beau's half sister EB - Berizza LA Dreaming wins PUPPY IN GROUP for her owner/handler Bernie in Melbourne.

APRIL

Welcome to my new website....

We have big things to come this year and we continue to breed beautiful IG's with healthy bodies and minds.

Thank you to all our friends around the world, who have been great supporters in the past and helped Berizza to become what it is today.

Percy's new babies are hitting the ring and turning heads! Both Disney and Andre won BABY IN GROUP on the same weekend. Claudia gained her final points for that elusive GRAND title; fresh from her wins at the Sighthound Specialty, Bathurst Royal BEST IN GROUP and Lithgow show RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUP. She has just turned 2.5 years of age which is an amazing feat.

Jed has been a consistent Res CC winner from the Minor Class and this black boy will be one to follow in the future. He has taken MINOR IN GROUPS under appreciating judges.

We have been showing sparingly, due to my Hound group studies, but with a strong team of youngsters we will get to more shows in the near future.
